The Holiday Social held at Greenleaf Center was a
great success. Thank You to Dan
Kelly, Karen Powell, and Peter Fett.
Also, all the other members who helped. Thank You to the Outer Belt for helping
the Sixteen Acres Civic Assoc. make the Holiday Social a huge success. Thank You to Amanda Moorhouse for
singing, and also thank you to the Gospel Choir at SABIS International Charter
School for singing all those wonderful X-Mas songs. Thank You to the girl from Glickman
School who collected all the canned goods for the Open Pantry.
The City Council along with the Mayor is trying to
obtain a grant to purchase Camp Wilder.
The city would like to purchase the property and keep it very similar to
what it is now.
The Park Department is trying to get permission from the Conservation Department to treat Forest Park with herbicides. Also, the property at Bass Pond. They would like to do it by April.
