Sixteen Acres is located in the Southeastern corner of the city, our boundaries reach as far as Wilbraham to the east, Schneelock Brook to the west, E. Longmeadow to the south and to the north we have Watershops Pond along with the Mill River as our boundaries.

		Sixteen Acres is the largest geographic neighborhood encompassing over 4,500 acres.
		We have the second largest neighborhood population with 15% or 23,100 residents.
		We have approximately 7,750 households (occupied housing units).
		6,150 of the 7,750 households are family households.
		Over 2,000 of the family households have children under 18 years of age.
		Median age is 32.
		Median household income is $36,488.
		Median family income is $40,332.

ZONING
Over 90% of Sixteen Acres is zoned for single family housing.  About 5% is zoned for other residential property and the remainder is zoned for business. The major business areas are located at Allen / Cooley Streets, Wilbraham Road / Parker Street and Wilbraham Road / Breckwood Blvd..

LAND USE
Half of Sixteen Acres is for residential use, 1/4 is used for open space and schools with the remainder divided between commercial, religious, cemeteries and miscellaneous use.
